FAQ

Q: Why should I use Car Pal when there are excellent online resources and free car buying services to help me save time and money?

A: Although these sites and services provide solid suggestions, they are not comprehensive enough to get into all of the “hidden” ways that dealerships make their profits. Car Pal doesn’t leave it to you to figure that out. We do it for you!

Q: How does Car Pal compare with car concierge services that I’ve read about?

A: There are a lot of similarities. Please click here to read positive things about companies that offer similar services.

Q: What if I’ve worked with a salesperson in the past and want to work with that same person again when I purchase?

A: Great question! We collect prices, and because you want to work at the specific dealership with that specific salesperson, we allow them to match the deal from other dealerships. We recently saved someone over $2,400 on his salesperson’s initial offer for an Acura MDX, and he got to work with his preferred salesperson. Win, win, win with Car Pal!

Q: What if I’m short on cash? How do I pay for your services?

A: You can use a credit card. If you don’t want to use a credit card, and you are taking out an auto loan, Car Pal can arrange to have the fee financed in with your vehicle purchase price. The dealership will then cut a check back to Car Pal once your contract is cashed.

Q: How can you help me in Wyoming when you’re in North Carolina?

A: Car Pal is able to help its clients no matter where they live. We have regular and repeat customers all over the United States, even in Alaska! Car Pal’s services are not limited to one dealership or any given location.

Q. I have heard that I can get the best deal if I contact the dealership’s internet department. Is this true?

A. While the internet departments generally offer more competitive pricing than you might get when you walk in the door, they are still oriented to maximize profit for the dealership. In addition, many internet departments are still instructed to “bring the client in the door!” which is not the short cut our clients are looking for.

Q. How do I justify paying the Car Pal fees when I don’t really know the value of the service I’m getting?

A. (Email excerpt from a repeat Toyota internet client) “Based on what I know about you, I wouldn’t hesitate to pay the fees listed on your site. If I didn’t know you, I wouldn’t be sure that you were worth it. Have you thought about posting some examples of the savings that you can provide clients through your services so they will see the benefits of working with you?”
