The car we wanted to purchase was in short supply and not available at the dealership. Lindsay found the car we wanted in 1 day. We had purchased on our own before, and we are comfortable on our own. But, Lindsay helped us through every step of the way. She helped us evaluate (and got great pricing) on various dealer add-on packages and advised us on financing. I spent a few months on my own trying to run down a gently used sports sedan. Finding the negotiation process disquieting for all the reasons you can imagine. I tried going the fixed price route via a couple well known all-prices-up-front-no-haggling firms but just couldn't get what I wanted in the shape that I wanted. I spent many hours scouring dealer web sites and finally found a beauty that had just arrived a few days prior at a local establishment; so fresh it hadn't yet been through it's CPO process. I checked it out in person and the car checked all my boxes: right color, right options, low-ish miles and in great shape. The road ahead though to ownership though led me to a gauntlet I did not want to run, recognizing the power imbalance and information asymmetry. I needed a pro on my side to even the playing field: time to bring in the folks at Car-Pal. The call I made on the bat-phone was second one I made to Lindsay, the first having been in 2017 when she ran down for me the vehicle I was trading in. I gave her the 411 on the shape and mileage of both my trade-in and the car I wanted to pick up, and from there we worked out how best to proceed. The rep I was working with at the dealership was a solid professional and I wanted to ensure it was a win-win for everyone (FYI I'm in sales too). The TLDR version of what followed: Lindsay's knowledge of the machinations of all facets of the industry enabled me to drive out with my slick new ride within a few hours of her reaching out to them. BOOM goes the dynamite! I set aside ego and invested in a process that produced the results I was thrilled with. When bought my first car as a freshman in college, my mom told me I had to use Car Pal, and I am SO glad I did! Fast-forward five years, and within the past six months, my husband bought a new car, and I bought a used car with the help of Car Pal (sadly, my first car was totaled a few months after we bought my husband's car). When buying cars, I trust everything Lindsay says, and I don't think I could even consider looking for a car without going to Car Pal first. Lindsay patiently walked with us through every step of the car-buying process from the moment we decided to get a car to the moment it was tagged and titled in our driveway. I don't usually write a lot of reviews but given my experience with Lindsay and Phil, it felt just like the natural thing to do. Admittedly I approached this service with some trepidation because I'd always bought cars by myself and gritted through the whole dealership experience. But talking to Lindsay, and her laying out the whole process put me at ease as to what to expect. I was looking for a specific vehicle to haul my family around. I needed it sooner rather than later because we were really struggling driving our two toddlers in our mid-size sedan. We worked out, that the best way to move forward was to build upon the searches and the saved list I had already conducted. I sent them all my links of cars that I had saved and this is where Phil's expertise kicked in. Through his research, he narrowed my list down to a short list of 3 or 4 and gave me reasons as to why he did not recommend moving forward with a particular vehicle. Once we narrowed down the list to 2 vehicles I made my selection. The vehicle I wanted was out of a dealership in Florida and we went ahead and scheduled the mechanical inspection. Both Lindsay and Phil would be communicating with the dealership saving me hours upon hours of aggravation and really taking the stress off me. They walked a fine line of making sure the car I wanted didn't get sold from underneath us while we were waiting for the mechanical inspector to arrive in a few days. Lindsay made sure she set my expectations appropriately given the kind of vehicle market we were in. This is one aspect of the service that I really appreciated: their knowledge of the market and how hard we could push to get a the deal we wanted. Overall - closing the deal required a team effort. We had a few hiccups on the way and where we were initially going to have the car delivered to us, we ended up having to drive down to Florida from Georgia to get the vehicle. Car-Pal is an incredible service to get away from the hassles and stress of dealing with dealership mind games. However, it is a team effort, and open, honest communication is the key to making it work. I'd use Car-Pal again in a heartbeat not so much because of the quality and thoroughness of their service, but because I'd actually be looking forward to working with the friends I made again.

Car-Pal. Never heard of it. None of my friends or family had heard of it. No one I talked to had a clue. That said, it worked for me. I was in the market for a used vehicle. I did not want to deal with a salesman. I then thought...'is there a such thing as a car broker?' Someone who can speak for you and someone with an insiders mind to car sales. After searching Google..."VooWahLa!!!!" Car-Pal! My journey began in March of 2022 and concluded on June 6, 2022 with my vehicle being delivered to my front drive. This was waayy longer than their norm ( about 2-4 weeks). I wanted a particular model, with options, at a particular price. When you have those particulars, your time line is going to be stretched...quite a bit. Whew, it was a journey. The mastermind of Car-Pal is Lindsey Graham, CEO, who is brilliant at the inner workings of the car sales industry. She had me to work with Phil Clack and believe me when I say, he was with me every step of the way. Everyday I spoke with him, he told me something that was never on my radar about the used car industry and things to look out for when dealing with...excuse me, preowned vehicles. He is an excellent compliment and asset to Lindsey. We spoke at least 3-4 times per week, sometimes even 2-3 times a day! We researched in Texas, Oklahoma, Indiana, Michigan, California, Illinois, and Georgia, just to name a few. Finally, Florida, which is where the completion was made (That's a story in itself). Long story short, It worked for me.
